Neuropsychology Services
Dr. Dorfman conducts comprehensive neuropsychological assessments with children,
adolescents, and adults with a wide range of neurological conditions and developmental
disorders. Her areas of specialty include epilepsy and childhood cancer. Dr. Dorfman also
has expertise in complex learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and
autism spectrum disorders. In addition, she has extensive knowledge regarding special
education and other school and community-based services. Following the completion of the
assessment, Dr. Dorfman works closely with patients and their families to assist with the
implementation of necessary services and interventions.

Additional assessment services offered include: psychological/ personality testing,
giftedness evaluation, and dementia screenings and infant/ toddler assessment.

Psychotherapy Services
Dr. Dorfman provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy. She utilizes developmental
theory and cognitive behavioral techniques. Dr. Dorfman's areas of interest include childhood
anxiety and mood disorders, social skills and behavioral training, and facilitation of adjustment
to pediatric illness and disabilities. Her treatment approach is goal-focused and is highly
individualized to meet each patient's unique needs. Collaborative work with family members is
an essential part of successful treatment.
